Each year, our Title VI Staff has the opportunity to visit several 4th-grade classrooms. We offer a presentation to each elementary school in Nebo School District.
Each presentation is given by two of our Title VI Staff members. We also provide information on American Indian contributions to global society, an Native American perspective on the First Thanksgiving, Native American philosophy, a mini-lesson on hand talk with a demonstration using the "Children of Many Colors", and of course our walking museum filled with Native American artifacts from various tribes.
We were fortunate enough to have some students from our program present with us as well. Each student was able to introduce themselves and shared a pow-wow dance with the audience.
