On April 26, 2023, Brian Young, author of Healer of the Water Monster visited the Nebo Title VI Program. Our program was thrilled to host him. We had a great turn out, and many families and community member where able to particpate in a meet and greet after his presenation.
Brian spent the afternoon sharing his inspiring story of growing up on the Navajo Nation reservation, signed books for families and community members, listened to hand drum songs played by Dream Starter AJ Quintana, and took endless pictures.
We are truly grateful for our partnership with Karen Liu, Youth Services Coordinator from the Utah State Library for making this event possible. Ahéhee' Brian Young for leaving a wonderful message of hope and inspiration with those in attendance.
