Dear Parent/Guardians,
We are Nebo School District Title VI Indian Education Program. Are you, your child, or his/her grandparent an enrolled member of an Alaska Native Group or American Indian Tribe? If so, your child may be able to enroll in Title VII Indian Education Program. Enrollment will increase opportunities available for your Native student. The program's goal is to help Native students meet and exceed state academic and cultural standards. If your child is not Native American please let us know and we will remove you from our list.
Upon enrollment, your child will be eligible to participate in various (K-12) programs, including afterschool lab every Monday from 2:00-4:00 and Wednesdays 2:30-5:00 pm at Larsen Elementary school, 1175 E Flonettte Dr. in Spanish Fork, on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00-5:00at Cherry Creek Elementary 484 S 200 E Springville. Here we provide:
- Academic tutoring
- Cultural enrichment activities
- “Camp Eagle” Summer Program
- Scholarships, career and post-secondary training, and exploration
- Parent Committee (parents, teachers, and high school students)
We make all this happen by having parents fill out the 506 Form that accumulates for funding our program. We also send newsletters about our upcoming events with guest speakers, holiday parties, and “Camp Eagle” summer school all FREE of cost to you. If you want your children involved or help with funding our program, please fill out the attached 506 forms and return it to our office. Enrollment in the program does not obligate a student to participate.
Perhaps your family does not have documentation or declined eligibility in Title VII Indian Education services. If so, please write the student's name, date of birth, and status on the form and return it to our Office. This status will be noted in our database. In the future, if you acquire documentation or change your mind, please contact the Title VII Indian Education office at the number below
