America’s Field Trip is a new nationwide scholastic contest from America250 designed to engage school communities in commemorating and celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026 and provide unique opportunities for students to visit some of the nation’s most iconic cultural landmarks and historic sites. By reflecting on what America means to students, this contest will help foster civic engagement and encourage the next generation to take an active role in their communities, their country, and their future.

Our Program will be hosting Parent Committee Elections. The Parent Committee serves as an advisory board that helps to guide the Nebo Title VI Program. The committee facilitates parental involvement in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating program activities.

Nima Groves, a sophomore in Nebo School District, has been named the 2024 Dreamstarter for Running Strong. Running Strong is an organization created by Billy Mills, an Olympic gold medalist. Running Strong is committed to serving and supporting Native American youth across the United States.

Parents and Guardians,

We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a Student Leadership Conference for ALL American Indian students (6th-12th grade) in our school district. This event is scheduled to take place on May 1, 2024, at the Summit Center.

Our program hosted a Native American Fashion Show this past Monday. The primary goal of this event was to educate our community about the rich culture of Native Americans.

Numerous participants participated in the showcase, presenting a blend of traditional pow-wow regalia and contemporary fashion. Each participant shared a personalized clothing description with the cultural significance of each clothing item and accessory. Their confidence and heartfelt sharing of their culture added a beautiful touch to the event.
